Toen Leona zes jaar was, verhuisde ze met haar adoptiefamilie vanuit Toronto naar Nederland.

Theater & backingvocals

In 2001 speelde ze de hoofdrol in de musical Aïda. Ze is te zien geweest in vele theatershows en als achtergrondzangeres bij onder andere Trijntje Oosterhuis, Kane en Candy Dulfer.

Lionel Richie

In 2002 bracht Leona een Top 40 hit uit, genaamd ‘Zomer Op Je Radio’. In 2008 deed Leona een gastoptreden tijdens het Symphonica in Rosso concert van Lionel Richie.

Leona maakte indruk tijdens haar auditie bij The Voice of Holland met ‘Mesmerized’ van Faith Evans. Alle coaches draaiden en Leona koos Trijntje als haar coach en won daarna met glans dat jaar van TVOH.!

Leona is a singer, songwriter & actress in the Dutch Entertainment scene Having performed on stage from a young age, Leona has booked succes in concert arena’s, theaters and on the big screen alike. She won the 3rd season of The Voice of Holland which catapulted her career even more.

Live band & DJ set

Now she not only performs at festivals with her band, but is a frequently booked artist for corporate events, and is the life of the party with her DJ set at any dance event.
